Playlist - continuous on iPad (Projekktor Core)
Hello,
I like your player and like to start to use it. But I have a problem on testing web site. I have playliste with three video and set continuous: true. It's work ok on all tested browser (Safari, IE, Firefox, Opera, Chrome) but not on iPad. I press start and play ok 1. video, then auto stop playing at 2. video and player wait until I do press start one more time. I use plug-in Safari developer on ipad, to show error, but they don't show error. Use iPad iOS version 4.3.3. I didn't try on iOS 5.
Best Regards,
JanezS
Playlist - continuous on iPad
Hi JaneszS,
unfortunately it is not possible to create a seamless playlist experience on iPad and other i*-Devices since "autoplay" doesn´t work. The only way to start a video on the mentioned devices is to make it a more or less direct result of an user interaction.
Shis is not a bug but a limitation by Apple. Most likely this is to protect the users from enervating ads and similar spam and to save battery power.
As such it is a good idea to set a neat poster for every item in your playlist.

Playlist - continuous on iPad
Hi Ali,
Issue left there is after play image for 4 seconds next video does not play itself. Where as second video is playing itself.
This is impossible on i*-Devices because the play event must be a direct result of a user interaction e.g. a touch event. So preroll -IMAGES will not work e.g. on iPad. Postroll -images or preroll or postroll -videos however will work fine.
I will alter the demos to avoid any confusions about this.
