Buffering image (Projekktor Theming)

Instead I would replace buffering.gif with the video's preview image/poster.
Is this possible, and if so, what code/parameters do I need to include?

This is no built in feature and therefore no config parameter you can use.
However you may try to hack the player´s CSS. Search for ".ppbuffering". You can redefine the look of the buffer indicator there
