I wonder, it's possible to change the video-source of a playing video? The user should be able to click on a button to change the videoquality.

Yes, quality-toggling is already implemented. Including automatic, resolution-based auto selection and toggling through the controlbar and visual feedback.

To properly set the player up needs some attention though. But even worse: I didn´t managed to write a documentation for this yet.

Please give me a few more days. I will update this thread once its done.
